Why We
Train
Train
"Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" โ 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV)
01
Training is Worship
Every repetition is an act of stewardship. God gave you this body โ not to neglect it but to develop it for His purposes. When you train, you are saying: "Lord, I honour this temple You gave me." Training with this mindset transforms exercise from discipline into devotion.
"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." โ 1 Corinthians 10:31 (KJV)
02
Progressive Overload โ The Law of Growth
God designed growth through resistance. The seed pushes through soil. The muscle grows through strain. Every week you must do something slightly harder than the week before โ more weight, more reps, more time. This is not optional โ it is the biological law of transformation.
"Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit." โ Hebrews 12:11 (KJV)
03
Consistency Over Intensity
One extraordinary workout means nothing. 300 ordinary workouts transform your body permanently. The tortoise beats the hare. David slew the lion and the bear before he slew Goliath โ faithfulness in the small things qualifies you for the great ones. Show up when you do not feel like it. That is the session that counts most.
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." โ Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
04
Rest is Not Weakness โ It is Obedience
Muscle is not built during training โ it is built during rest. God commanded the Sabbath not because He was tired but because He knew we would need it. The rest day is not a failure of discipline โ it is the day your body actually grows. Protect your rest days with the same intensity you protect your training days.
"He giveth his beloved sleep." โ Psalm 127:2 (KJV)
05
Train Fasted โ The Ancient Practice
Training in a fasted state (after 12โ16 hours without food) maximises fat oxidation, increases growth hormone by up to 300%, and produces more BDNF for brain health. Biblical warriors trained and fought with empty stomachs. Your body runs cleaner and sharper on fat than on glucose.
"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens." โ Isaiah 58:6 (KJV)
06
Pray Before You Train
Before every session, spend 60 seconds in prayer. Dedicate the workout to God. Ask Him to strengthen your body and use this time for His glory. This simple practice transforms your mindset from performance to purpose. You are not training for vanity โ you are training for calling.
"Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." โ Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)
